Mounting points look different, lips near the kick-stand and more. That being said, pull up the detail pics of both products from their respective pages and you'll see that there are numerous variations. In this case, the pricing is slightly more palatable, but the part still comes unpainted - albeit in CF. But at nearly 800 Euro, there was no way it was going to happen.
They had the only belly pan for my previous bike, the BMW S1000R. The mounting points, the lines of the OEM fairings, the holes that need to be there for cooling or access to various things mean that even an original design is very likely to create what looks like a copy. In this case, however, it seems there is really no way to do it any other way. I've been on the receiving end and it's disheartening.
As a designer, I agree copying is terrible.
